Jackson Center woman waives speedy trial rights

LIMA — A Jackson Center woman waived her speedy trial rights in Allen County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday so her attorney has more time to prepare her case.

Paige Snider, 33, now has a final pretrial scheduled for Feb. 18 and a jury trial set to begin March 3.

Snider was indicted on three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, second-degree felonies, and a first-degree felony count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity for allegedly having between five and 50 times the bulk amount of methamphetamine and committing the offense in the vicinity of a substance addiction services provider or a recovering addict.

Snider has been in the Allen County Jail with a $150,000 bond, and on Sept. 26, Judge Terri Kohlrieser overruled a motion filed by Snider’s attorney, Zachary Maisch, to modify the bond to an own recognizance bond and permit her to live in Auglaize County with her mother.
