Nelson Manufacturing set to move to new facility

OTTAWA — Nelson Manufacturing is expanding into a new facility expected to open in 2026.

The new facility will be located west of its existing campus and parallel to state Route 224. The facility will be a combined office space and final assembly building, leading to increased capacity and improved production in a safer, more ergonomic manner.

The new facility will improve production with more space and create 18 new jobs. It will also expand the plant’s existing footprint by 73,000 square feet.

“As products continue to evolve both in size and technologically, we also must change our manufacturing process. We have outgrown our existing facility, and the expansion will allow us to be more productive so that we can meet the increased demand for our products,” said Tony Niese, President of Nelson Manufacturing. “We plan to occupy the new facility in January 2026.”
