LIMA — The Lima Police Department will promote Lt. Zachary Leland to police major, Sgt. Scott Luedeke to lieutenant and patrol officer Darien Gaukin to sergeant in a ceremony at noon Friday, Oct. 25 at Council Chambers, 50 Town Square, Lima.
The promotions follow the retirement of Major John Bishop, who has been with the department since 1993.Bishop’s retirement will be official Friday, Oct. 25.
