Lima Senior ag/engineering campus open house slated

LIMA — A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for Lima Senior High School’s new Agriculture and Outdoor Occupations and Engineering Technology Campus will be Thursday, Oct. 17 at 9 a.m.

Held at 700 E. Edwards St., the open house will follow the ribbon cutting and continue until 10:30 a.m.

The campus consists of two buildings, one for each program. The additional space will add room for more equipment and experiences for students. Both programs are hands-on with stations set up in both buildings teaching skills such as electrical circuitry, hydraulics, pneumatics, 3D printing, and robotics in engineering, and farming, landscaping, woodworking, and welding in Agriculture.

The project was paid for by federal CARES Act funds.
