LIMA — The Allen County Regional Airport Authority received approval Tuesday from the Allen County Board of Commissioners to send a matching grant application to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The application to ODOT is part of the airport authority’s application to the Federal Aviation Administration for funding for a taxiway renovation project at the airport. The state grant totaling $65,023.83 would cover 5% of the total project cost of just over $1.3 million. The matching 5% would then be paid by the airport authority while the remaining 90 percent will come through the FAA.
