BLUFFTON — Bluffton University plans to offer a new physical education major, the college announced on Wednesday.
The four-year health and physical education degree will allow students to earn a multi-age teaching license for preschool through high school health and physical education, according to a news release about the program.
The university cites Ohio Department of Education and Workforce data showing roughly 5 percent of high school health and physical education courses were taught by teachers without proper certification for the 2021-22 school year.
