Lima Senior homecoming parade returns

LIMA — Lima Senior High School’s homecoming parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, on West High Street, near the Fifth Third Bank branch in downtown Lima.

This is the second year for the homecoming parade, which travels east on High Street and onto Spartan Way.

The Spartan Marching Parade, Lima Senior cheerleaders and homecoming court will be joined by Lima Senior student clubs, athletes and other students.

Once at the high school, the parade will travel through the parking lot and around the school via North Street to finish at the shot-discus area on High Street across from Spartan Stadium.

A bonfire will follow the parade at the shot-discuss area on High Street.

Community members are invited to line the streets to cheer on the students.

The Spartans will play Rogers at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Spartan Stadium. The homecoming king and queen will be crowned before the game at 6:30 p.m.

A homecoming dance will be held at the high school on Saturday, Oct. 5.
