Historical Society to host talk on Lincoln

ST. MARYS — The Auglaize County Historical Society will host “Lincoln and the Election of 1864” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 at the St. Marys Community Public Library at 140 S. Chestnut St. in St. Marys.

Professor Brian Dirck will present the free talk in conjunction with the traveling exhibit “One Life: The Mask of Lincoln” at the library until Sept. 30.

Dirck, a history professor at Anderson University, is known for his scholarship on the American Civil War and the life and career of Abraham Lincoln.
