LIMA — In partnership with professors from Ohio State-Lima, the Allen County Museum will hold a National Fossil Day event from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 5 at the museum, 620 W. Market St., Lima.
The theme for this year’s event is fossilized shells, and attendees will be able to take in an interactive presentation on these unique fossils at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Participants can excavate their own fossil in the dig boxes and enjoy fossil-themed games and quizzes. Guided tours of the museum’s fossil exhibition will also be held at 2 and 4 p.m.
