COLUMBUS — Grant funds totaling $15 million were awarded Thursday to support roadway safety improvements and improved road signage in several Ohio cities and townships.Gov. Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Transportation Director Jack Marchbanks made the announcement.
In Hardin County, Kenton will receive $2 million for the reconstruction of Detroit Street, from Eliza Street to the north city limits. Work will include curb ramps, storm sewer improvements and water line replacement.
As part of the township sign program, Hardin County’s Pleasant Township will receive $1,989.88; Riley Township in Putnam County was awarded $27,594.83, and all townships in Mercer County will share $53,539.07 to upgrade township road signage.
