Mercy Health to host human trafficking symposium

LIMA — Celia Williams, a social work professor at the University of Toledo and the executive director of the Human Trafficking and Social Justice Institute, will speak at “Liberty Unchained: Breaking Bonds, Restoring Hope,” a symposium, at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16 at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Graduate Medical Education Center, 751 W. Market St., Lima.

The symposium will feature two large-group seminars and breakout sessions featuring representatives from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Crime Victim Services, Allen County Children Services, Mercy Health-St. Rita’s and She Has a Name.
