Two arrested on drug charges in Mercer County

CELINA — Two Mercer County residents were arrested on drug charges early Friday morning.

According to Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey deputies stopped a vehicle shortly before 2:30 a.m. in the area of Clover Four and Harrison roads in Franklin Township. The vehicle was driven by Daniel Hierholzer, 35, of Celina. Elizabeth Luebke, 32, of Celina, was a passenger.

A K9 unit assisted with the stop and the K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle and its occupants found suspected methamphetamines.

Hierholzer and Luebke were booked in to the Mercer County jail for preliminary charges of possession of drugs, fifth degree felonies. They are being held without bond.

Hierholzer also has an outstanding bench warrant out of Celina Municipal Court for contempt of court in an unrelated case.

The case will be turned over to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for review of additional charges.
