Two sustain serious injuries after crash involving semi

PLEASANT TOWNSHIP — Two people were transported to the hospital with serious injuries around 10:30 a.m. Friday after a crash involving a semi-truck at the intersection of U.S. 68 and Township Road 110 in Hardin County.

According to a news release from Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart, a car driven by Kailr Manns, of Kenton, was traveling eastbound on Township Road 110 and failed to yield to the stop sign at the intersection of U.S. 68, moving into the path of a semi-truck driven by Robert Shenkel, of Wayne, Michigan, who was traveling southbound on U.S. 68. Manns was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.

Manns was airlifted to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with serious injuries. Mann’s passenger was transported to St. Rita’s Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. The semi-truck driver was uninjured.
