The Lima Fire Department responded to a fire at a vacant home at 1122 St. Johns Ave. on Thursday morning.

LIMA — A fire at a vacant home around 6 a.m. Thursday morning at 1122 St. Johns Ave. caused an estimated $10,000 damage.
The Lima Fire Department believes the fire started on the exterior of the home but the investigation is ongoing. The fire also caused some smoke damage inside the home.
According to the Allen County Auditor’s website, the home is owned by Mose and Willa Howard.
