Bluffton library releases September events

BLUFFTON — The Bluffton Public Library shared its programs and services for the month of September with a press release Wednesday.

Banned Books Week will be from Sept. 22 to 28.

The library will celebrate National Good Neighbor Day Sept. 28 with a week of activities like a puzzle swap, sidewalk art, card making and kids crafts.

The Friends of the Library Book Sale will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 9:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 and from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 in the library’s lower level.

Watercolor Workshop: Seagulls will be from 2 to 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 featuring Jeanne Beutler.

The Noon Book Group will meet at noon Wednesday, Sept. 4 to discuss “18 Tiny Deaths” by Bruce Goldfarb.

The Mobile Health Clinic will be present from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12.

Fall storytimes will begin Sept. 11 and will feature Baby Storytime at 10 a.m. Wednesday mornings, Pre-K Storytime at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday mornings and Family Storytime at 6 p.m. Thursday evenings.

The Smokey Bear Reading Challenge will be from Sept. 1 to Oct. 31.

A playgroup will be held Fridays at 10 a.m.

The Chill Zone will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday afternoons.

The Hummin’ and Strummin’ Song Circle will be at 5:30 p.m. each Monday.

Open Chess will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

The library will be closed Monday, Sept. 2 for Labor Day.
