Registration open for Put-in-Bay stroke camp

PUT-IN-BAY — Mercy Health is sponsoring a retreat for stroke survivors and caregivers at Put-in-Bay Resort in September.

The three-day, two-night retreat will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, through Friday, Sept. 27, at Put-in-Bay Resort, 439 Loraine Ave. in Put-in-Bay, featuring crafts, games, educational seminars, discussion groups and pampering for survivors and caregivers.

“We understand the challenges that stroke survivors, and their families face every day, and we want to offer them a place where they can not only relax and recharge but also find community and support,” Julie Goins-Whitmore, neuroscience manager at Mercy Health, said in a news release.

“We hope that stroke survivors, caregivers and their families will take advantage of this unique opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences and to gain valuable resources and support in a peaceful and restorative setting.”

Cost is $150 per person, but space is limited.
