LIMA — The Allen County Fair runs Friday, Aug. 16 through Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Allen County Fairgrounds, 2750 Harding Highway, Lima.
Here’s what you need to know to enjoy the fair.
Admission and season passes
Daily gate admission for adults and children ages 7 and older is only $10. Children ages 6 and under are admitted for free.
Season passes and ride vouchers to the Allen County Fair are on sale now at the Allen County Fairgrounds, Kewpee, Chief Supermarket and several local bank branches.Passes are $40 for adults and $20 for youth ages 7-9 through Thursday, Aug. 15.
Each season pass admits one person to the fairgrounds for all nine days of the fair, though youth passes exclude entry to the grandstands.
Season passes will increase to $45 for adults and $25 for children ages 7-9 once the fair opens.
Residents can purchase season passes and ride vouchers in advance at Kewpee restaurants, Chief Supermarket, Citizens National Bank, Union Bank, Superior Credit Union and the Allen County Fairgrounds.
Youth passes are on sale at all locations excluding Kewpee restaurants, which will only accept cash.
Ride vouchers and ride times
All-day ride wristbands or ride vouchers are sold separately for $30, which may be purchased in advance or certain hours during the fair.
Those hours are noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, Sunday, Aug. 18, and Saturday, Aug. 24; 5-11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, Wednesday, Aug. 21, Thursday, Aug. 22 and Friday, Aug. 23; and from 3-11 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20.
Discounted ride wristbands will be on sale for $17 from noon to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19.
Fairgoers who plan to catch a few rides but who don’t want to pay for an all-day wristband can purchase individual tickets for $1.50 apiece or buy 20 tickets for $25. Still, those riders should be aware some rides require multiple tickets for entry.

• Noon to 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19

• 5-11 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21
•5-11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22
• 5-11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23
• Noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24
