Allen County Public Health now accepts Medicare Part D for vaccines

LIMA — Allen County Public Health is now accepting Medicare Part D coverage for any vaccination recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with no out-of-pocket costs.

Eligible vaccines include RSV, Shingles, Tdap and other vaccines recommended for international travel.

The health department previously charged or referred seniors insured through Medicare Part D to other pharmacies for their vaccinations.

Vaccination clinics are held from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the health department office, 219 E. Market St., Lima.
