Arts organizations receive grant funding

LIMA — Numerous arts-related organizations in the Lima region are among the recipients of grants from the Ohio Arts Council as part of the council’s annual grant allocation.

The grants awarded are part of more than $22.7 million spread over 935 allocations to support Ohio artists, non-profits and organizations that support culture and the arts. This marks the largest round of awards ever given by the Ohio Arts Council.

Organizations in the region included in the grant awards were:

• Lima Area Concert Band: $3,481

• Lima/Allen County Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center Foundation: $3,320

• ArtSpace/Lima: $7,392

• Council for the Arts of Greater Lima: $6,000

• Lima Symphony Orchestra: $30,008

• Riverside Art Center, Wapakoneta: $3,272

• Kalida Local School District: $37,800

• Go Ottawa: $3,481

• Putnam County Educational Service Center: $22,400

• Wassenberg Art Center Association, Van Wert: $3,751

• Off Stage Productions, Inc., Van Wert: $2,967

• Van Wert Area Performing Arts Foundation: $37,697
