Hang glider lands safely in field

DELPHOS — A hang glider made an emergency landing in a field Tuesday around 11 a.m. No damage or injuries were reported.

According to the Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers and Delphos Fire and EMS crews responded to the hang glider in a bean field near the intersection of Sharf Road and Landeck Road. No one was with the hang glider when crews arrived but they identified the owner by the hang glider’s motor number as Tom Snyder of Spencerville. He said he had engine issues while flying and had to land.
