VAN WERT – OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital is teaming up with United Way of Van Wert County and the West Ohio Food Bank to hold a pair of food drives.
The first event that will take place from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23 at Trinity Friends Church, 605 N. Franklin St., Van Wert. The second event will be held Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the same time and location.
OhioHealth representatives will assist volunteers from United Way of Van Wert County and the West Ohio Food Bank to help distribute food and supplies.
“We know sadly food insecurity is a significant issue in rural and urban areas,” OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital president Joy Bischoff said in a prepared statement. “However, we have the dedication and commitment to help curb hunger in our communities.”
