Paper cutting demonstrations set at Swiss historical society site

BLUFFTON — The Swiss Community Historical Society of Bluffton and Pandora will host a series of events called Second Saturdays this summer. Period-costumed docents will be on hand for guided tours of the air-conditioned house, as well as the summer kitchen, garden, workshop and barn.

Beth Boehr will demonstrate and instruct in the art of scherenschnitte, or paper cutting, from 1-4 p.m. on July 13 at the site, located at 8350 Bixel Road, Bluffton. There will be an alternate activity for small children.

Admission is $5 for guests age 17 and over. Admission for society members is free. An annual membership is $30 per year per household.
