Lima man charged after SWAT team finds drugs, weapons

LIMA — A Lima man was arrested on a probation violation, with more charges expected, following a raid on Tuesday by the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, the FBI’s Northwest Ohio Safe Streets Task Force and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team.

The search was executed at a residence on the 3000 block of Allentown Road. The resident, Brandon Maitlen, 34, was taken into custody on a probation violation. A second related search warrant was executed at a residence on the 100 block of Bellwood Drive in Lima.

Through the two search warrants 55 grams of suspected cocaine, 3.84 pounds of marijuana, unidentified pills, 27 firearms, and approximately $124,760 in U.S. currency were seized.

Maitlen is currently being held in Auglaize County Jail. Charges related to the investigation will be presented to the Allen County grand jury at a later date, according to a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.
