AAUW announces book drop-off location, dates

LIMA — The American Association of University Women secured a new location for its popular annual book sale last week, the organization announced on its Facebook page.

Starting Monday, July 1, drop off and sorting of books will be at 2151/2161 Elida Road in the strip including Fast Signs, across from Fazoli’s. Donations can be made at the large overhead doors on the west end of the building. Drop-off times will be 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays and 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 22.

The organization accepts books, games, puzzles, CDs, DVDs and records. It won’t accept encyclopedias, magazines, textbooks older than five years, VHS tapes or cassettes. Any health, computer, reference or legal materials older than five years are too outdated to donate.

The annual sale, which starts the Tuesday after Labor Day, raises money for scholarships.
