OSU Extension to host gardening event

KENTON — The Hardin County OSU Extension Master Gardner Volunteers will host a free event called An Evening Garden Affair from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 24 at the Friendship Gardens of Hardin County, 950 W. Kohler St., Kenton, with walking tours and a guest speaker.

Walking tours of the gardens with refreshments will start at 6 p.m. with the volunteers available to provide information. The event is rain or shine, but garden tours may be canceled due to inclement weather.

At 7 p.m. guest speaker Jessica Alger will present in the Simon Kenton school building. Alger is the owner of Make a Bouquet U-Pick Flower Farm near Arlington. She will present about the latest trends in agritourism locally and beyond, flowers by season and the history of her farm.

Parking will be available at the garden off West Kohler Street or in front of the Simon Kenton school building. For more information, call the OSU Extension office at 419-674-2297.
