LIMA — Area residents now have the chance to purchase Girl Scout Cookies through March 17 as the annual program gears up to sell nine varieties at area stores.
The program funds experiences for the scouts and opportunities for them to grow skills in entrepreneurship, goal setting, decision-making, money management and business ethics.
This year’s theme is “Unbox the Future”.
Girl Scouts can earn badges for Cookie Business, Financial Literacy and Entrepreneur, as well as Cookie Entrepreneur Family pins.
Anyone interested in purchasing cookies this year can reach out to scouts they know or sign up to be notified when sales start at booths or online.
