Two suspects steal Christmas tree from Cleveland arts center

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland police say two suspects broke into the Cudell Recreation Fine Arts Center and stole a Christmas tree and yuletide spirit Monday morning.

A man and a woman entered the center, at 10013 Detroit Road, and grabbed several thousands of dollars of art supplies, home goods and electronics, police said.

Melissa Kennedy has taken pottery classes at the center for the last two years and said she feels violated “by these Grinches.”

“It’s just a wonderful place, and they do so much good for the kids and adults in the community. It’s a shame our safe space was vandalized,” she said.

Police are urging anyone with information to call 216-252-7463.
