Alliance to host public forum on gun violence

LIMA — The Lima Area Black Ministerial Alliance plans to host a public forum on gun violence. The forum is not the organization’s first meeting but is the first open to community members.

“We want the public to come in and ask questions and give some suggestions,” LABMA President Dr. Arthur Butler said. “We will have a panel there. We know that we cannot stop gun violence, but we are doing everything we can to reduce it.”

Vice President Cleven Jones said the organization plans to address gun violence and hopes the community will share its ideas.

The meeting will be held Wednesday, Dec. 13 at the Lima Public Library, 650 W. Market St. from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
