Romey to retire from CNB

LIMA — Citizens National Bank CEO Michael Romey will retire after 37 years as the bank’s chief executive, the bank said Thursday.

Romey, who joined the bank as president and CEO in 1986, previously stepped down from his role as president in 2019. He will formally retire by the end of this year.

Romey leaves behind a family legacy: His grandfather worked as head cashier when the bank opened in 1920 and was later promoted to president. Romey’s father and brother have also held roles on the bank’s board of directors.

“Mike led CNB through many years of record-breaking growth and introduction to new technology for our customers,” President Eric Faulkner said in a press release. “We’re all grateful for the leadership and genuine care he provided to CNB and wish him well as he enters this new chapter.”
