Plant nursery invites children to explore

CLOVERDALE — A Putnam County nursery made a commission to bring children outside last week.

Beining Nursery hosted more than 50 children to spend time outdoors while engaging in fun activities. According to a recent press release, the children from ages 4 to 10 learned how to create their own fruit pizza, played guessing games and enjoyed story time.

The focus of the program was teaching children how plants are utilized as food. The children also learned the various that are grown in Ohio and what it is like in a nursery.

Community members are welcome to sign up for future programs at beiningnursery.com.
