ST. MARYS — Midwest Electric donated $14,550 to 21 charities and community projects in West Central Ohio through the electric cooperative’s charitable fund, which raises funds from co-op members who voluntarily round their utility bill to the nearest dollar.
Recipients include Southern Mercer County Joint Ambulance District; St. Henry CCD; St. Henry Volunteer Fire Department; C.A.L.L. Ministries; Family Care Options; Crossroads Crisis Center; Lima’s Samaritan House; Northwest Ohio Literacy Council; West Ohio Food Bank; Allen County Sheriff’s Office; Marion Township Police Department; Putnam Pet Pals; Auglaize County Public District Library; Children’s Hunger Alliance; Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association; Auglaize County Fair Gospel Tent; Cozy Cabin Quilters; Middle Point Volunteer Fire Department; Van Wert Area Performing Arts Foundation; Van Wert Middle School and the YMCA of Van Wert County.
