Nutrien receives Eagle award for reducing greenhouse gas

LIMA — Nutrien Lima has received the Ohio Chemistry Technology Council 2023 Eagle Award for its efforts in reducing greenhouse gas. According to a recent press release, the company installed nitrogen oxide and nitrous oxide abator that helps reduce the gas emitted from plants.

“I’m proud of the team at Lima for prioritizing Nutrien’s sustainability goals with this project,” said General Manager Todd Sutton in a recent press release. “We’re committed to reducing the environmental impacts of our operations, and we greatly appreciate the recognition and support by the OCTC for this work.”

The release also said the new installment has increased the rate of gas reduction by 90%.
