LIMA — The Lima/Allen County Regional Planning Commission is campaigning for seatbelt safety. The Lima Police Department and the Students Against Destructive Decisions have decided to partner in an effort to raise awareness. Local schools will host awareness events starting Monday, May 15. According to a recent press release, there will be a visual seatbelt count on Thursday, May 18 at the corner of High Street and Jackson Street. Community members can also pick up banners, signs and car magnets.
