LIMA —The Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center announced a list of acts who will perform at the Greater Lima Region Amphitheater’s opening weekend Thursday, Aug. 3 to 5 and they will be recognizable to anyone familiar with the local scene.
Among the openers for each of the day’s shows are Stedic Music, The Indoorfins, Kevin Ashba, Liam Stolly and Derek Alan.
Stedic Music, featuring Chris Henderson, Jason Henderson and M-Dubbz Williams, will bring a mix of reggae, soca and R&B sounds Thursday night to prepare the crowd for All-4-One with Naturally 7.
The Indoorfins, a local band celebrating its 30th anniversary, will be joined by Columbus-based singer-songwriter Kevin Ashba as the openers for Beach Boys founder and Lima native Al Jardine Friday night.
And Liam Stolly and Derek Alan, two on-the-rise hometown artists will open for Ian Munsick Saturday night.
The Greater Lima Region Amphitheater and park will open Wednesday, Aug. 2, bringing free and paid events throughout the weekend, which will end Sunday, Aug. 6.
The Civic Center said that prices, sale dates and more events will be announced later in the month.
