LIMA —The West Ohio Food Bank announced that Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs in the United States launched the Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign on Monday for the 10th straight year. It runs through May 8.
One of the largest campaigns that the food bank has, it will try to alleviate food insecurity in West Central Ohio.
The food bank says that it has generated “more than $165 milion and helped secure nearly 1.7 billion meals” for the Feeding American network of food banks.
The supplier, either online or in store, will donate at least one meal in money on behalf of a food bank at Walmart and five meals in money at Sam’s Club for every participating product purchased.
Donations can be made at the Feeding America website or with the stores. Specially marked packages will have full details.
