Two drug search warrants served, one man arrested Friday in Lima

LIMA — A man is in custody after two search warrants were executed Friday in Lima.

According to a release sent at 4:39 p.m. Friday by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies served two narcotics-related search warrants, one at 851 N. Main St., Apt. 1 and the other at 304 S. Charles St. At the North Main Street residence, deputies seized more than 250 grams of suspected fentanyl, along with additional paraphernalia and packaging material, as well as cell phones and U.S. currency. Monteil Erick Alexander, 25, who was the target of the investigation, was located in the residence, along with his 20-year-old girlfriend and her three children. According to the release, Alexander was recently released from prison and was on parole.

Alexander was taken into custody on a first-degree felony charge of possession of a fentanyl-related compound and is currently being held without bond at the Allen County jail pending a court appearance.

According to the release, “no items of evidentiary value” were seized at the South Charles Street residence, and no arrest at that address was listed in the release.

As the investigation continues, additional charges are expected to be presented to a later session of the Allen County Grand Jury, the release said.
