Potash announces shutdown

LIMA — PCS Nitrogen in Lima began a controlled shutdown of the ammonia unit on Tuesday night to perform plant maintenance. The maintenance will result in elevated noise levels.

PCS Nitrogen’s Lima management wants area residents to understand that the elevated noise level occurs during both the shutdown and startup of the facility. The higher noise levels will happen again when the unit is restarted and the site resumes normal operations. After maintenance is completed, residents can expect an increased noise level over the next few days as operations resume.

PCS Nitrogen Ohio makes nitrogen products for agricultural and industrial uses.
