ELIDA — Residents in parts of Elida no longer need to boil their water before using it, as of 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The village of Elida originally issued the boil water alert Monday afternoon for people living south of East Road, including Chestnut Run and Fox Run.
The water department experienced difficulties while performing maintenance on water lines Monday. The alert was for any water used for drinking and cooking, the village said in a written statement.
