LIMA — A local artist’s illustrations have been featured in a newly released children’s book.
Brian Ritter, an artist with ArtAbility, a Lima art studio for artists with developmental disabilities, provided the illustrations for “Winston’s World,” published by Bloomington, Indiana-based AuthorHouse. Ritter was born with spina bifida, a spinal defect that has affected his mobility.
Ritter will promote the new book with an appearance on the Londell Smith Show on 940 WCIT at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, as well as with two book signings. The first will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 12 at Readmore, 3330 W. Elm St., and the second will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 19 at Readmore, 2100 Harding Hwy.
