COLUMBUS GROVE — A 62-year-old woman was injured Thursday when she was hit by a car while walking down the road.
Vickie Doty was walking near the corner of Sycamore and High streets in the village when 20-year-old Jarrod Brown of Columbus Grove attempted to turn onto High Street and struck Doty, Columbus Grove police Chief Nick Gilgenbach reported.
Brown told police he did not see Doty, Gilgenbach reported.
Doty was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center where her condition remained unknown. A hospital spokeswoman could not be reached for comment.
The incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed, Gilgenbach said.
