St. Marys man wins Toastmasters competition

ST. MARYS — Randy Fisher, a member of the Grand Lake Toastmasters Club, won the Toastmasters International Table Topics Contest at the district finals held in Lexington, Kentucky, on Nov. 15.

Fisher competed against seven other finalists from Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. This is the highest level for this contest’s competition.

Fisher is a member of the Grand Lake Toastmasters Club, which meets twice a month at Otterbein-St. Marys, and has been competing in Toastmasters speech contests since 2008. Winning this competition puts him in the top 88 Impromptu Speakers in the world as determined by Toastmasters International.
