Grzybowski applies for Lima Municipal Court judge

LIMA — A second attorney has said he will seek the job of municipal judge that will open with the retirement of RicKard Workman in January.

Robert Grzybowski filed his paperwork with the Allen County Republican Party on Friday to seek the position at Lima Municipal Court. He is a long-time Lima attorney best known as a defense attorney and public defender.

Attorney Brad Kelley also is seeking the position. The deadline to apply is Nov. 25.

The Republican Party will interview applicants and make a recommendation to the governor who makes the appointment. The person appointed would fill the remainder of Workman’s term which expires at the end of 2017 and run that year to begin a six-year term Jan. 1, 2018.
