Lima police search for two in connection to fatal motorcycle crash

LIMA — The Lima Police Department is searching for two people that officers believe were involved in a fatal crash with a motorcyclist Sunday morning.

The Lima Police Department announced in a press release it believes Catherine Wilson and Robert Catlett III had fled the area but hoped to get their cooperation. Anyone with details should call the LPD at 419-221-6264.

Aaron Ehrnsberger, 27, of Lima, was the motorcyclist involved in the hit-and-run collision at 12:19 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Allentown and Kenilworth. He later died from his injuries at 8 a.m. Sunday at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Through its investigation, the LPD learned Ehrnsberger was travelling westbound on Allentown when an eastbound vehicle turned left in front of him.

Officers found the vehicle involved in the incident Tuesday. Debris left at the scene matched that vehicle. Officers believe Wilson and Catlett were the owner and possible operator of the vehicle at the time of the crash.
