LIMA — There is a new report card for Ohio schools. The format has changed since all the data was last reported in 2021. Instead of using letter grades, a star rating system is being used.

LIMA — The identity of the man taken into custody after the Lima Walmart incident last week has been released.
Fails: ‘Body cams now’
LIMA — Leaders from the Lima NAACP on Thursday repeated calls for the Allen County Sheriff’s Office to equip its deputies with body worn cameras in the aftermath of the fatal shooting of Quincy J. Pritchett, who was shot and killed by sheriff’s Deputy Izak Ackerman after fleeing a traffic stop in June.
Water project in progress
LIMA —The weight of the water is almost over. A new project is underway by the Allen County Commissioners, Engineers and the State of Ohio. Drainage Engineer Joe Gearing has applied for funding through the H2Ohio and the GLRI (Great Lakes Restoration Initiative) funds for the Baughman Ditch Project.

Lima Senior falls to Fremont Ross in volleyball
Two weeks ago, Lima Senior ended its three-year winless drought in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference with a victory against Toledo Central Catholic. But since that victory, the Spartans have failed to maintained that momentum and they dropped their fifth consecutive match to Fremont Ross, 25-10, 25-16 and 25-14 in a TRAC clash Thursday.
