Letter: A biased view of market economy

0

I am not qualified to correct a professional economist, as Robert Kempt asserts that he is in his letter, “An educated view of market economy,” on Oct. 28.

Letter: Don’t ignore Concerned Citizens of Lima Area

0

A few Lima city council meetings ago, council members took a very hard-line approach to a fledgling group of concerned citizens because the group, Concerned Citizens of Lima Area, had the audacity to question the city government, to the point city council members (two to be exact) informed the group and apparently all others that if you didn’t like the way the city was run to leave.

Letter: Fischer has experience to help Supreme Court

0

We are writing to share with you and the Lima community why we are voting to re-elect Ohio Supreme Court Justice Patrick Fischer. Justice Fischer, who is seeking a second and final six-year term against Democrat appellate Judge Terri Jamison, has more experience as both a justice and a practitioner.

Letter: House Bill 315 a better solution than Issue 1

0

In typical Ohio fashion, our elected lawmakers are sidestepping meaningful policy solutions in favor of unnecessary political efforts and throwaway catchphrases creating fear. Yes, I’m referring to Issue 1 and, no, it will not make communities safer.

Letter: Vance won’t represent our area’s core values

0

As an Ohioan, J.D. Vance alarms me in a way that I find hard to describe. Vance parades around his rural, working-class upbringing while dismissing his Ivy League education. Vance says he knows the plight of Ohio’s workers and yet, like a wolf in sheep’s skin, pretends to wish the best for Ohioans while his backers and platforms want nothing more than to ship all our jobs to cheap markets. He also stands behind policies aimed at harming the rights of middle-class workers all the while touting his credentials as a common Ohioan.

Letter: America should have worked on energy crisis

0

Oil prices are the leading cause of the inflation we are seeing here and worldwide.

Letter: Read the two state issues very carefully

0

Just a quick thank you to Frank LaRose and VoteOhio.gov for providing the text of the statewide issues included in The Lima News (required by the Ohio Constitution before the midterm elections).

Letter: Penalties are allowed against Patriots now

0

I really hate sounding like a broken record, but again the officials missed at least two pass interference calls against the Patriots against Cleveland, plus a facemask on Jacoby Brissett. It doesn’t give me encouragement when one official is talking to the Patriot coach before the game even starts.

Letter: Gratitude for donations made through Wyngate

0

On behalf of the Allen County Council on Aging/Elderly daycare center, I would like to thank Wyngate Senior Living Community for choosing us to receive the proceeds from their Oct. 21st drive-thru luncheon. Also, thank you to all area residents who supported this project.
