Lima Senior DECA program does well at state competition

LIMA — The Lima Senior High School DECA program finished the State DECA Competition with three first-place awards, and several others headed to the national contest, which will be virtual this year.

The top three go to nationals and include:

First: Nakiya Sigman, Je’Niya Allen and Alivea Buchanan, for the community awareness project; Cecelia Suarez and Jada McClendon for innovation plan and Megan Nuckles, Ella Brayton and Alex Enberg, for sales project.

Second: Elisbeth Nelson, for Public Relations.

Third: Mike Snow, Javier Brito-Diaz and Alleah Julien, for career development project, and Haley Shafer, for policy advocate.
