Tucker scores 40 in all-star victory

ELIDA — Shawnee’s Jaquan Tucker had 40 points and Lima Senior’s Ellijah Pughsley scored 32 during Tuesday’s District 8 Division I-II-II All-Star game won by Tucker and the West 98-96.

St. Henry’s Evan Prenger (18), Defiance’s Katwan Singleton (17) and Celina’s Ryan Hoyng (11) also scored in double digits for the West. Kenton’s Austin Phillips (20), Liberty-Benton’s Jon Dager (19) and Elida’s Austin Allemeier (12) also reached double digits for the East.

In the Division IV match-up, Lincolnview’s Justis Dowdy and New Bremen’s Carson Manger had 16 points each as the East defeated the West 105-79. Andy Grothouse of Delphos St. John’s (14), Marion Local’s Luke Knapke (12) and Ryan Bruns (11), Kalida’s Devon Kortokrax (10), New Knoxville’s Andrew Arnett (10) and Ottoville’s Brandt Landin (10) also scored in double digits for the East. Perry’s Jared Poling (16), Columbus Grove’s Jace Darbyshire (13), McComb’s Clay Grubb (12) and Cory Rawson’s Matthew Alspach (11) reach double digits for the West.

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Dustin Rouck allowed one run and two hits in five innings work. He also doubled along with teammates Dustin Lauck and Sam Sanders. The Commodores’ Chad Henson had four hits.

CAREY — Matthew Bowden got the win for the Pirates.

Ottoville 4, Ottawa-Glandorf 3

OTTAWA — Brandon Boecker doubled for Ottoville.

LIMA — Abby Cosart got the win and Julia Miller hits two home runs for Bath. Teammate Kara Dienstberger doubled and hit a home run.

MCCOMB — Grace Schroeder and Kyrah Yinger each tripled and Mackenzie Wurth doubled for Columbus Grove.

CONTINENTAL — Emma Recker got the victory and teammates McKenna Scott (double) and Emma Recker (triple) each had extra base hits.

Allen East 18, Lima Senior 1

HARROD – Arianna Schmiedebusch got the victory and Kylie Wyss, Alexis Wireman and Julie Webster all doubled for Allen East.

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Alyssa Windau got the victory and Kiersten Courtney and Chloe Wohlgamuth each double for Shawnee.

CELINA — Spencer Collins and Luke Buettner won at singles and the doubles teams of Lorgan Corso/Dalton Brenner and Weetin Young/Ben Brinkman also won for LCC. Nathan Lutz won at singles for Celina.

St. Marys 4, Bluffton 1

ST. MARYS — Bobby Miller and Nick Rohr won at singles and the doubles teams of Luke Gossard and Max Moeller and Jacob Grannon and Josh Wingett also won for St. Marys. Justin Haggard won at singles for Bluffton.

BATH TOWNSHIP — Ian Younts and the doubles teams of Kyle Spragg and Bryce Hinegardner and Chris Ellington and Aaron Dickrede all won for Bath. Singles players Zach Beaschler and Mitchell Wilcox won for Ada.

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Shawnee’s Jabrill Williams won the 110 and 300 hurdles. Jordan Mohler won the 100 and 200 dashes and Curtis Pohlman won the 800 and 1,600 runs for Delphos St. John’s.

Columbus Grove quad

COLUMBUS GROVE — The host Bulldogs won the team title with 111 points followed by Pandora-Gilboa (69.66), Cory-Rawson (45.66) and Leipsic (28.66).

Parkway quad meet

ROCKFORD — Parkway won the team title with 97 points followed by Perry (86.5), Fort Recovery (52) and Lima Central Catholic (13.5).

Celina tri meet

CELINA — The host Bulldogs won the team event with 88 points followed by Spencerville (46) and Bellmont (33) from Decatur, Ind.

Bluffton tri meet

BLUFFTON — The host Pirates won the team title with 75 points followed by Allen East (63.5) and Delphos Jefferson (35.5).

Hardin Northern meet

DOLA — Waynesfield-Goshen was the top team with 152 points followed by Riverdale (99), Arlington (49), Temple Christian (24) and Hardin Northern (21).

ELIDA — The host Bulldogs won the team event with 100 points followed by Ottawa-Glandorf (64) and Fort Jennings (11).

ELIDA — Ottawa-Glandorf was the team winner with 80.5 points followed by Elida (77.5) and Fort Jennings.

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Julia Hardy won the 100 and 300 hurdles, Taylor Blythe won the 1,600 and 3,200 runs and Alivia Adams won the high jump and pole vault for Shawnee. Halie Benavidez won the 100 and 200 dashes for St. John’s.

Columbus Grove quad

COLUMBUS GROVE — The host Bulldogs won the team title with 101.5 points followed by Pandora-Gilboa (67.5), Leipsic (50) and Cory-Rawson (26).

Bluffton tri meet

BLUFFTON — The host Pirates were the team winners with 84 points and Allen East and Delphos Jefferson each finished with 31 points.

ROCKFORD — Parkway won the team title with 85 points followed by Fort Recovery (73), Lima Central Catholic (47) and Perry (35).

Celina tri meet

CELINA — The host Bulldogs were the team winner with 96 points followed by Bellmont (54) and Spencerville (25).

DOLA — Riverdale won the team event with 129 points followed by Waynesfield-Goshen (62), Temple Christian and Hardin Northern (56 each) and Arlington 35.
