BATH TOWNSHIP — A moving train took a power line with it Monday night.

The Bath Township Fire Department said the incident took place at about 9:30 p.m. Monday on the Bluelick Road overpass in Bath Township.

After the train struck the line, the train stopped to help with the issue. It is unclear whether the train struck the line itself or a pole. The line was an American Electric Power power line, the Fire Department said.

A representative with AEP Ohio said 15 customers were without power from about 9:30 p.m. until about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. She said in their report of the outage, the incident was listed as a “blown fuse.”

Frie Department crews were on scene for roughly an hour and a half. AEP crews were on scene all evening and into Tuesday morning, Fire Department officials said.
