Putnam County Common Pleas Court

The following were indicted following a session of the Putnam County Grand Jury on Feb. 25.

Andrew J. Vasquez, 24, 3721 Road K-3, Ottawa; grand theft (motor vehicle).

Victor Paniagua, 49, 102 E. Maple St., Continental; rape and gross sexual imposition.

Feb. 17

Steven L. Brown, 46, 991468 Road 20, Bryan, pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention center. He faces up to 36 months in prison and $10,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10:15 a.m. March 16. A charge of possession of drugs (methamphetamine) was dismissed.

Feb. 19

William J. Drew, 47, 502 E. Ohio St., Leipsic, was sentenced to 180 days jail for felony non-support, with 173 days suspended. He was given credit for one day served and was placed on two years community control.

Feb. 24

Mark E. Bird, 49, 24026 Road E G-24, Continental, was granted judicial release and ordered to complete the WORTH Center. He must pay restitution of $10,632.90 to the victim. He was originally convicted with theft from an elderly person and breaking and entering.

PennyMac Loan Services LLC, Moorpark, Calif., was granted a foreclosure judgment against Beth Doster, Delphos, and Mark Doster, Ottawa, in the amount of $83,622.98 plus interest and costs.

Brandan M. Adkins, 19, 107 E. Elm St., Continental, was sentenced to seven days in jail for breaking and entering. He was given credit for one day served and placed on three years community control. He must obtain his GED, obtain employment and pay restitution of $3,117.02. A charge of theft was dismissed.

Feb. 26

Charlotte S. Kohli, Cloverdale, and Robert B. Kohli, Cloverdale, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Dec. 17, 1993 in Dupont, and have no children.

Feb. 27

Sandra K. Gasche, Continental, was granted a divorce from Terry L. Gasche, Hamilton, Ind. They were married May 17, 2014 in Gatlinburg, Tenn., and have no children.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Feb. 17

Michael A. Peck, 23, 19584 Road M-17, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to failure to comply with the order of a police officer. Sentence: 180 days jail, 175 days suspended, $375 fine, license suspended for one year and credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP.

Juan A. Mendoza, 44, US Route 65, McClure, pleaded guilty to theft. Sentence: 180 days jail, 167 days suspended, $100 fine, and pay $30 restitution.

Deven R. Wierwille, 23, 9111 Bucher Road, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of driving without a valid license. Sentence: $150 fine. He was also fined $150 for driving under suspension and $50 for speeding. A charge of expired plates was dismissed.

Feb. 26

Kent A. Nienberg, 27, 1350 N. Locust St. Apt. 200, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of criminal trespassing. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, and $250 fine.
