Man arrested in Auglaize County for tool theft

ST. MARYS — An Ashville, Ohio, man was arrested after reports of tools being stolen from an outbuilding.

On Feb. 22, Auglaize County Sheriff deputies were called to the 4000 block of county Road 33A to investigate the theft. Investigations revealed the outbuilding was forcibly entered, and numerous tools were removed.

Later that day, the owner of the tools saw items matching the description of his tools advertised for sale on social media.

After discovering the St. Marys location where the tools were believed to be and executing a search warrant, officers found the tools and arrested John W. Greenlee, 31, of Ashville. Greenlee was charged with breaking and entering and receiving stolen property. He was released on bond.

The case remains under investigation.
